Parwan Province

Parwan is a province in central Afghanistan with mountainous terrain dominated by several ranges including Kott-I-Baba, Panjsher, and Paghman. The landscape is marked by these distinctive elevations that span across the region.

Alexander the Great founded Alexandria of the Caucasus in this region around 329 BCE, marking the beginning of documented settlements in the area. This ancient foundation reveals the long history of human habitation in these mountainous lands.

Golghondi Hill rises from the landscape with natural formations that earned it the local name 'flower hill.' Despite its poetic name, this spot remains lesser-known to visitors even though it offers good views of the mountainous surroundings.
