Inca Uyo, Archaeological site in Chucuito District, Peru.
The Inca Uyo complex contains 80 stone phalluses arranged systematically within a walled rectangular structure made of precisely cut stones.
During pre-Inca times, this site functioned as a major center of power, documented by Spanish chronicler Pedro Cieza de León in the 16th century.
The stones at Inca Uyo formed part of a geodetic-astronomical observatory that helped local communities determine agricultural cycles and celestial movements.
Guided tours from Puno operate daily with morning, midday, and afternoon departures, lasting approximately one and a half hours at the archaeological site.
