Moche District is an administrative area in Trujillo Province located in northern Peru's La Libertad Region. The territory combines residential settlements, agricultural land, and archaeological sites spread across flat terrain near the Pacific coast.
The area served as the center of the Moche civilization from around 100 to 800 AD, known for building impressive mud structures and developing advanced irrigation systems. This early culture shaped the region for centuries and left traces still visible today.
