Laredo District, Administrative district in Trujillo province, Peru

Laredo District is an administrative division in Trujillo province within the La Libertad region of northwestern Peru, covering flat to gently rolling terrain. The area contains several towns and settlements, with local infrastructure marked by schools and technical institutions like the Technological Institute of Laredo.

The district was officially established on December 28, 1961, as one of eleven administrative divisions created within Trujillo province. Its formation was part of regional administrative reorganization that structured the province into separate jurisdictions.

The Carnival of Conache brings people together with traditional dances, music performances, and local food celebrations during the festive season. These gatherings show how the community keeps customs alive and uses celebrations to strengthen bonds between neighborhoods.

Visitors will find several public institutions including the Technological Institute with programs in accounting, nursing, and computer science that serve the community. The best time to explore is during local celebrations when the area comes alive with traditional activities and social gatherings.

Lake Conache sits within the district and offers water activities and recreation spaces for people throughout the region. This natural site is favored by visitors seeking to escape daily routines and enjoy outdoor spaces.
