Laredo District

The district spans across 335 square kilometers of land at an elevation of 89 meters within the La Libertad region of northwestern Peru.

The district received its official establishment on December 28, 1961, becoming one of the eleven administrative divisions within the Trujillo province.

The Carnival of Conache unites the district population through traditional dances, music performances, and local food celebrations throughout the festive period.

The district maintains several educational institutions, including the Technological Institute of Laredo, which provides programs in accounting, nursing, and computer science.

Lake Conache sits within the district boundaries, offering water activities and recreation spaces for the 37,206 residents and neighboring communities.
