Jardín botánico de Tingo María

The five-hectare garden contains more than 1500 tropical Amazonian plants, including height cedar trees, sulfur cinchona, and Euterpe oleracea palm species.

The garden, established in 1978, operates under the National Agrarian University of the Jungle and functions as a scientific research center for botanical studies.

The garden sits at the base of the mountain range known as La Bella Durmiente or Pumarinri, within Tingo María National Park.

The botanical garden maintains clear pathways throughout its grounds, allowing visitors to explore the collections while learning about local plant species.

Many trees in this garden have reached 30 to 40 years of age, creating a mature tropical forest environment for scientific observation.
