Estadio Heraclio Tapia, Sports stadium in Huánuco, Peru

Estadio Heraclio Tapia is an all-seater football stadium in Huánuco, Peru, with a capacity of 25,000 spectators. Its stands include the western grandstand, inaugurated on 8 December 2010. The ground sits at high altitude, among the highest stadiums in South America. After Alianza Universidad's 2024 promotion, the seating changed from León de Huánuco's brown and tan to blue and red.

Construction began in 1972, the year León de Huánuco first reached the Peruvian Primera División. The stadium was renovated in 2010, when the western grandstand was inaugurated during the Torneo Descentralizado final against Universidad San Martín, a 1-1 draw watched by 18,090 people. In 2011 it hosted its first Copa Libertadores matches, followed by Copa Sudamericana games in 2012 and 2015.

The stadium's colours changed after Alianza Universidad returned to the First Division in 2024, switching from León de Huánuco's brown and tan to blue and red. The ground hosts both clubs, rivals from the same city, and regional teams also play here. On 8 December 2010, 18,090 spectators watched the 1-1 final against Universidad San Martín, the largest crowd in the stadium's history.

The venue sits in central Huánuco and is easily accessible by public transport from most parts of the city. On match days, food and drink vendors set up around the grounds to serve spectators.

In 2011, the stadium hosted its first Copa Libertadores matches, stepping into the world of international football competition. This achievement brought the venue into a wider South American sporting spotlight.
