The Estádio Olímpico Monumental is a football stadium in Porto Alegre with a capacity of around 45,000 seats arranged across multiple stands. The seating is positioned to offer clear sightlines to the playing field from most vantage points throughout the venue.

Designed by architect Plínio Oliveira Almeida, winner of a 1950 competition, the stadium opened on 19 September 1954 with a 2-0 Grêmio win over Nacional of Montevideo; Vitor scored its first goal. The upper ring was completed in 1980, when it took the name Monumental. Grêmio won the 1983 Copa Libertadores here, and the last match was a 1-0 win over Veranópolis on 17 February 2013.

The stadium's name changed to "Olímpico Monumental" only in 1980, when the last section of the upper ring was completed. It hosted the 1963 Summer Universíade and, in 2024, was temporarily reopened as a donation collection centre for victims of the Rio Grande do Sul floods.

The stadium has been out of use since 2013 and is not open for matches or visits; it stands at Largo Patrono Fernando Kroeff 1 in the Azenha neighbourhood. Demolition for a residential development is planned for 2026, pending resolution of disputes between Grêmio and the builder OAS. In 2024 it briefly reopened as a donation collection point for flood victims.

The stadium's record crowd of 98,421 (85,721 paying) filled it on 26 April 1981 for a Grêmio 0-1 Ponte Preta league match, a figure larger than the ground's later 46,000 capacity. Grêmio won the 1983 Copa Libertadores here, beating Peñarol on 29 July 1983.
