Edificio Mario Mercado, Modern skyscraper in Obrajes district, La Paz, Bolivia

Edificio Mario Mercado is a modern high-rise with 27 floors in the Obrajes district that ranks among Bolivia's tallest structures at approximately 107 meters. The complex combines 144 residences, office spaces, retail zones, a supermarket, and parking across multiple levels.

Construction of this major high-rise project started in 2011 and finished in 2015, with an investment of over 12 million dollars. The building marks an important moment in La Paz's modern urban expansion and contributed to the vertical growth of the Obrajes district.

The building is the new headquarters of Club Bolívar, financed by BAISA SRL, the club's investment arm. Its name honours Mario Mercado Vaca Guzmán, a former club president. The complex also holds a football pitch with synthetic turf, a gym and two racquetball courts used by residents.

The complex sits in the Obrajes zone, with 200 parking spaces on five levels and separate access for the housing, office and commercial parts. Two mezzanines hold offices, one floor is given to shops and a supermarket, and the sports areas (synthetic football pitch, gym, two racquetball courts) are grouped together.

The project was named "Construimos tus Sueños" (We Build Your Dreams) and was financed by BAISA SRL, the investment arm of Club Bolívar. Its 200 parking spaces are split across five levels, and the 27 floors also hold two mezzanine office levels and a single floor of shops.
