Kirumi Bridge, Cable-stayed bridge across Mara River in Mara Region, Tanzania

Kirumi Bridge extends 223.3 meters over the Mara River, featuring three spans and two traffic lanes connecting the Butiama and Rorya districts.

Julius Nyerere, the first president of Tanzania, presided over the official opening ceremony of Kirumi Bridge on October 14, 1985.

The bridge name exists in both English and Swahili languages, with local residents referring to it as Daraja la Kirumi in their daily conversations.

The T4 road carried by Kirumi Bridge functions as a principal transportation route, enabling direct vehicle movement between communities on opposite sides.

Italian company Cordioli & C Steel Construction manufactured the bridge components following designs created by COWIconsult at a cost of 10 million dollars.
