Arusha Technical College

Arusha Technical College is a higher education institution for technical training located across multiple campuses in Tanzania. The main facility sits in Arusha city, with additional campuses in Oljoro and Kikuletwa.

The college was established in 1978 by the governments of Tanzania and Germany as Technical College Arusha. In 2007, it received its current name through a formal restructuring.

The college teaches in Swahili and English, drawing students from various regions across Tanzania and neighboring countries. The campus serves as a meeting place where people from different backgrounds study and work together.

The college offers various technical programs at different certification levels, from basic courses to advanced engineering degrees. Students can specialize in electrical and automation systems when pursuing their preferred qualification.

The Kikuletwa campus operates a working hydropower plant that serves as a training facility for students studying renewable energy. This combination of classroom and real power generation allows students to learn by doing.
