Rancaekek

Rancaekek is an administrative district in Bandung that spans several villages across a hilly region east of the city. The area combines rural and more developed zones with a railway line that passes through the district.

The district started as agricultural land but underwent transformation from the 1990s onward with the growth of residential areas. The administrative subdivision in 2012 marked a major turning point in this development.

The district is easily accessible by train, as Rancaekek Station connects to major destinations like Bandung city and surrounding areas. Visitors should know that the drier months are best for exploring the various villages on foot.

Kencana Badminton Club is located here and connects local athletes with Bandung's broader sports community. The club shows how local facilities link the region to larger urban centers.
