Kuningan Botanical Garden, Botanical garden in Padabeunghar village, Kuningan, Indonesia.
Kuningan Botanical Garden is a garden facility in Padabeunghar with over 250 plant species distributed across hilly terrain at elevations between 490 and 870 meters. The site includes specialized areas such as bamboo parks, rock gardens, and a central area with Situ Cibuntu lake.
The garden was established in 2005 by the Indonesian Institute of Sciences and Kuningan District Government to advance scientific goals in nature conservation. Its creation was part of a national initiative by the Environment Ministry to support botanical research and environmental education.
The garden displays a collection of native Indonesian plant species arranged across different zones. Visitors can discover traditional species like Jamblang and Longan trees that hold importance for local life and agriculture.
The grounds are divided into several visitor zones that can be explored on foot and feature different focuses. Flat paths connect the main areas, while the hilly topography makes walking more demanding in some sections.
The facility combines two functions: it serves visitors as an outdoor recreation space while also housing scientific research laboratories. This dual concept makes it a place where you can walk around and observe botanical science in action at the same time.
