Robina Stadium, Stadium in Robina, Queensland, Australia
Robina Stadium is a rectangular rugby league ground in the Gold Coast suburb of Robina, next to Robina railway station. It was designed by the same company behind Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium, as a smaller version of it, and funded by the Queensland Government. Blue and yellow seats fill tiered sections around the green field, divided by concrete stairways and metal railings, with a white roof over the upper tiers.
Construction began in 2006 and the stadium opened in February 2008, in time for the Gold Coast Titans' first NRL season. The land was bought by Gold Coast City Council and gifted to the Queensland Government, which funded the project. It hosted two 2008 Rugby League World Cup matches and game three of the 2021 State of Origin series.
Robina Stadium sits next to Robina railway station on the Gold Coast line, and there is no parking for visitors, so arriving by train is recommended. The ground is a smaller version of Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium, designed by the same company, with tiered seating around the field and section entrances marked by illuminated numbers such as 12 and 13.
