The clubhouse design included separate areas for men and women players, reflecting social structures of the 1930s through dedicated lounges and facilities.
The building now functions as office space for the Mental Illness Fellowship of Queensland after being listed on the Queensland Heritage Register in 1999.
During the late 1970s and 1980s, the building earned the nickname 'Pink Palace' due to its colorful facade and its transformation into a nightclub venue.
