Archangel Island

Archangel Island is a nature reserve in the Gulf of California, featuring an extensive mountain chain that runs across much of the landscape. The shoreline consists of steep cliffs that rise sharply from the water.

The island never developed permanent human settlements throughout its history, with only occasional visits from hunting groups. These visits were seasonal and focused on obtaining food and resources.

Reaching this place requires a boat trip across a channel that separates it from the mainland. You can find good anchoring spots near the bays on the northern side.
