Estadio Víctor Manuel Reyna, Mexican football stadium
Estadio Víctor Manuel Reyna is a soccer venue in Tuxtla Gutiérrez with a natural grass field surrounded by multi-tiered stands in dark seating. The facility includes locker rooms, parking for over 1,000 vehicles, and an automated watering system to maintain the grass in the hot and humid climate.
The stadium was built in the 1980s and opened in 1984 as the home of local club Jaguares de Chiapas. A major renovation in 2014 added approximately 6,000 seats, expanding the capacity to over 27,000 spectators and modernizing the facilities.
The stadium is named after V. M. Reyna, a teacher who dedicated himself to developing soccer in Chiapas. On match days, the stands fill with fans in team shirts and scarves who cheer loudly, creating an atmosphere where people come together through their shared love of the sport.
The stadium is easily reached by car or public transport via Prolongación Artículo 115 in central Tuxtla Gutiérrez. Ample parking is available and the venue connects to the city's main roads, making arrival and departure straightforward on match days and during events.
A large tree grows inside the stadium and is one of its most distinctive features, setting it apart from other sports venues. The ground has also hosted international friendly matches of the Mexican national team over the years.
