Torre Urban Plaza

Torre Urban Plaza is a modern corporate building with a distinctive cylindrical shape in the La Floresta neighborhood of Quito. The structure rises 16 floors and combines curved tempered glass, granite panels, and steel elements throughout its design.

The building rose during a period of economic expansion in Quito, with construction beginning in December 2008 and completing by September 2009. The opening ceremony drew prominent government figures, marking a significant moment in the city's modern architectural development.

The tower's cylindrical form makes it instantly recognizable in the financial district, becoming a visual landmark that residents and workers reference in daily conversation. Its shape has shaped how people perceive and navigate the area around Plaza Artigas.

The tower is highly visible from Plaza Artigas and easily accessible by foot from the main business district. Keep in mind that this is an office building with limited public access inside, so the best way to appreciate it is from the surrounding streets and public spaces.

The cylindrical design was deliberately chosen to provide 360-degree views from within and mirror the continuous flow of traffic around Plaza Artigas. This design concept creates a singular spatial experience for anyone working inside the building.
