Arenal Hanging Bridges, Suspension bridges in Arenal, Costa Rica.
The Arenal Hanging Bridges network consists of six suspension and ten fixed bridges spanning across 3.2 kilometers of tropical rainforest trails.
The bridges were constructed to provide access to researchers studying the diverse ecosystems between the Guanacaste and Tilaran mountain ranges.
Local guides share their knowledge of traditional medicinal plants and indigenous wildlife practices while leading visitors through the elevated pathways.
The park operates daily from 6:00 AM to 3:50 PM, with timed entry slots every 30 minutes requiring advance reservations.
The elevated walkways enable visitors to observe over 350 bird species and numerous tree-dwelling animals at canopy level in their natural habitat.
