The Ara Project

The Ara Project is an office building in Manzanillo that integrates glass-framed corners with conference rooms and steel planters into its modernized facade. The interior spaces use elevated ceiling heights and carefully positioned windows to bring in natural light while reducing energy needs throughout the structure.

The building transformed from a traditional office layout into a contemporary architecture project while preserving its mid-century structural foundation. This renovation brought modern design elements into the existing framework.

The building demonstrates how local architectural craftsmanship and regional design traditions merge with contemporary approaches used in modern offices. The open spaces and large windows reflect how people in the area naturally blend work with their connection to the surrounding landscape.

The space offers plenty of natural light and good airflow thanks to its thoughtful window design, creating a comfortable environment. Visitors can easily navigate the building thanks to its open layout and clear separation between different functional areas.

The building connects directly to the owner's residence, blending private life and professional work into a single integrated space. This approach also turns the residence into a kind of design showcase that visitors can experience firsthand.
