Museo Nacional de la Cultura Peruana

The National Museum of Peruvian Culture displays collections of traditional crafts, ceramics, textiles, and ethnographic objects from various regions of Peru.

Founded on March 30, 1946, this museum houses an extensive collection representing Pre-Columbian civilizations and their artistic achievements through ceramics and metalwork.

The museum exhibits important artifacts from Amazonian ethnic groups, including the Awajun, Ashaninka, Shipibo-Konibo, Cocama, Bora, and Yagua communities.

Located at Alfonso Ugarte Avenue 650 in Lima, the museum opens Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00, with adult admission at 6 soles.

The institution maintains documentary, photographic, and sound archives that contribute to research about Peruvian cultural traditions and indigenous communities.
