Joseph H. Stewart State Recreation Area

Joseph H. Stewart State Recreation Area is a park on the Rogue River near Lost Creek Lake, set within forests with multiple camping zones and water access points. The park features campsites with varying facilities, from basic plots to spots with electrical hookups, plus trails and fishing access throughout the grounds.

The area was developed as a recreation site in the 1970s to provide public access to Lost Creek Lake and surrounding forests. Its infrastructure has grown over time to support outdoor recreation while protecting the natural landscape in southern Oregon.
