The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District is an administrative region in southwestern British Columbia that covers mountains, valleys, and river systems across a wide area. This region was established as an administrative unit in 1966, having developed on territories where the Squamish Nation and St'at'imc Nation historically lived. Both Indigenous peoples continue to maintain a significant presence and connection to these lands today.
