Sequoia National Park

The park encompasses 1,789 square kilometers of mountainous terrain, featuring ancient giant sequoia trees reaching heights of 84 meters and diameters of 11 meters.

The United States Congress established Sequoia National Park on September 25, 1890, making it the second national park in response to concerns about logging threats.

The General Sherman Tree stands as a central point of interest, recognized as the largest living single-stem tree by volume on Earth.

Visitors can access the park through two main entrances, with a weekly vehicle pass costing 35 dollars that includes entry to Kings Canyon National Park.

Mount Whitney, located within the park boundaries, stands as the highest peak in the contiguous United States at 4,418 meters above sea level.
