Aria Resort and Casino, Casino resort on Las Vegas Strip, United States
Aria Resort and Casino is a 61-floor glass hotel tower on the Las Vegas Strip with more than 4,000 rooms. The facade consists of reflective glass panels that span the full height.
César Pelli designed this building within the CityCenter complex that opened in December 2009. Construction took several years and cost billions of dollars.
The artworks come from many countries and appear in the lobby and along the walkways to the gaming floor. Visitors move between sculptures in metal or stone as they head to the front desk or the elevators.
The gaming floor sits on ground level next to the main entrance and restaurants are located on multiple levels. A free tram system connects the building with nearby hotels.
The rooms use sensors to adjust light and temperature when no one is present. This technology helped the building earn a LEED Gold certification for sustainability.
