The Mandalay Bay Tram operates on an elevated steel truss guideway connecting three major hotels: Excalibur, Luxor, and Mandalay Bay Resort over a distance of 838 meters.
The transportation system opened on April 9, 1999, after an eight-month construction period completed by DCC Doppelmayr Cable Car for a contract amount of 16 million dollars.
The dual-track system serves as a central connection point for visitors exploring the entertainment offerings of three different Las Vegas casino resorts.
Operating daily from 10:00 AM to midnight, the free service accommodates 160 passengers per train and transports over 20 million people annually between the connected hotels.
The western track provides local service with intermediate stops, while the eastern track operates as an express route between Mandalay Bay and Excalibur stations.
