PH Live, Theatre in Las Vegas Strip, US
PH Live is an auditorium inside the Planet Hollywood Las Vegas hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It seats about 7,000 people, with rows of red and purple seats fanning out across the floor and rising in tiers toward the back. The stage sits at the far end, framed by dark vertical sections and side balconies, under a vast black dome divided into a triangular lattice pattern.
The hall opened in 1976 as Aladdin Theatre for the Performing Arts, with Neil Diamond performing five sold-out nights during the first shows. Over the decades, the venue changed ownership and name several times.
The venue's name has changed with its sponsors: Zappos Theater from February 2018 to March 2023, Bakkt Theater until August 2024, and PH Live since. It has hosted the Miss Universe pageants in 1991, 1996, 2012, 2015 and 2017, and Miss America from 2006 to 2013. Concert residencies by Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez ran here.
Parking is available both as self-parking and valet through the resort, and tickets can be purchased through authorized online platforms. The entrance sits inside the casino, so you need to walk through the gaming floor.
The venue has carried eight names, from Aladdin Theatre for the Performing Arts in 1976 through Theatre for the Performing Arts, Planet Hollywood Theatre for the Performing Arts, PH Live, The AXIS, Zappos Theater and Bakkt Theater to PH Live again since August 2024. The 1998 implosion of the original Aladdin left the theatre standing as the only surviving part of the complex.
