Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Resort and casino on Las Vegas Strip, Nevada.
The Cosmopolitan is a resort and casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada. The building rises 61 floors and contains more than 3,000 rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows.
The property was built starting in 2004 on the site of the former Key Largo Waterpark. It opened in December 2010 and transformed another section of the Strip.
The Chandelier bar spans three levels and is wrapped by more than two million glass crystals hanging like a giant curtain. Guests can sit beneath this installation and enjoy cocktails while light plays through the crystals.
The resort stands at 3708 Las Vegas Boulevard South. Elevated walkways connect it directly to neighboring hotels and provide sheltered access in heat and rain.
Many suites have wraparound terraces with verandas that open to the outside. These outdoor spaces are rare in this form along the Strip.
