Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Resort hotel on Las Vegas Strip, United States
Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino is a multi-story building made of steel, glass and concrete with 2,494 hotel rooms along the Las Vegas Strip in Clark County. The property includes a casino with gaming tables and machines, as well as a theater with about 7,000 seats.
The site opened in 1962 as the Tallyho hotel and later changed its name to Aladdin before renovations and new ownership turned it into the current resort. The transformation brought the film theme and modern design into the building.
The Bakkt Theater inside brings shows from international performers to the stage, while film memorabilia lines the hallways and lobbies. Guests move through spaces where movie posters and props recall the glamour world of Hollywood without overshadowing everyday activity.
The property stays open around the clock and offers barrier-free access to all areas. Visitors can enter directly from the Strip and find lodging, dining and entertainment in one location.
From 2013 to 2017, Britney Spears held her residency here, drawing thousands of visitors to the large auditorium. The shows brought international attention to the property and shaped its reputation as a venue for long-term performances by big names.
