Park MGM, Resort and casino in Paradise, United States
Park MGM is a hotel tower with gaming facilities and entertainment offerings in Paradise, an unincorporated community south of Las Vegas within Clark County, Nevada. The building rises 32 stories and houses nearly 3,000 rooms along with gaming floors, restaurants, and a large theater for concerts and performances.
The building opened in 1996 as Monte Carlo Resort and Casino with a design inspired by the casino in Monte Carlo, Monaco. Operators closed the property in 2018 and reopened it months later under its current name.
The name Park MGM emerged from a 2018 redesign that replaced the earlier Monte Carlo theme with a more contemporary identity. Guests today encounter restaurants serving international cuisine and a concert theater that make the resort a place for entertainment and dining.
The resort sits on the Las Vegas Strip and is reachable on foot from neighboring hotels both day and night. Visitors find signage inside directing them to restaurants, gaming areas, and the theater, making it easier to navigate the building.
In September 2020 the resort banned smoking in all indoor areas and became the first major casino on the Las Vegas Strip to implement such a policy. Other gaming properties along the street still allow smoking throughout much of their gaming floors.
