Una

The Una is a river system flowing through western Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia over approximately 215 kilometers. It moves through mountainous terrain with limestone formations and creates several natural waterfalls and rapids along its course.

The river formed through natural geological processes and became an important boundary between different regions over time. Its strategic location led to the construction of several fortifications along its banks, particularly during Ottoman rule.

The people living in villages along the river have kept fishing and water use traditions that remain visible in their daily lives. These customs shape how communities interact with the waterway and manage the land near its banks.
