N'zi-Comoé, Former administrative region in central Ivory Coast.
N'zi-Comoé was an administrative region in central Ivory Coast that encompassed several districts with Dimbokro as its main administrative center. The region contained five departments, each functioning as a separate subdivision.
N'zi-Comoé operated as an administrative division from 1997 until 2011, when national restructuring dissolved its boundaries. This reorganization redistributed the former territory among the Lacs District and neighboring administrative units.
Multiple departments within N'zi-Comoé maintained their own administrative structures while sharing resources and governmental services through the central authority in Dimbokro.
The region sat at a moderate elevation with fairly consistent geographic features throughout its territory. Visitors should expect that Dimbokro served as the main hub, while other departments retained their own local functions and services.
In 2002, the region supported a population of 909,800 residents, resulting in a population density of 46.51 inhabitants per square kilometer.
