Olympic Green

Olympic Green is a large sports complex in Beijing featuring multiple major sports facilities spread across its grounds. The main structures include the National Stadium, National Aquatics Center, and National Indoor Stadium, each built for different types of competitions.

The site was developed starting in 2004 and hosted Olympic Games twice in Beijing: the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2022 Winter Olympics. These two events defined the purpose and significance of the location.

Sculptures and art installations throughout the park blend Chinese artistic traditions with modern international design. You can see how contemporary artists have incorporated local cultural elements into each corner of the space.

The park is easily accessible by subway, particularly lines 8 and 15 with stations near the main stadiums. The grounds cover a large area, so it helps to plan which sections you want to explore before your visit.

A distinctive feature is the Beijing Olympic Tower, a tall observation structure with viewing platforms that rise well above the surrounding buildings. From the top, you can see the entire complex layout and how all the different sports facilities relate to each other.
