Gushi County, Administrative county in Xinyang, China

The territory of Gushi County extends over 2,942 square kilometers in the southeastern part of Henan province, encompassing both hills and plains.

The county served as the capital of one of the States of Liao during the Spring and Autumn period between 771 and 436 BCE.

The population of more than one million residents maintains local traditions through seasonal festivals, ceremonies, and agricultural practices specific to the region.

The Nanjing-Xi'an Railway and G40 Shanghai-Xi'an Expressway connect Gushi County to major cities, providing essential transportation links.

With 1,781,500 registered inhabitants as of 2018, Gushi County holds the position of most populated county in Henan province.
