Mount Xiqiao

Mount Xiqiao is a volcanic mountain in Foshan with dark, rocky slopes and distinct formations throughout its terrain. The park features natural caves and walking paths that guide visitors through different areas of the mountain.

The mountain became an artistic center during the Qing Dynasty when painters set up studios in caves to create traditional Chinese art. This creative history shaped the character of the site that visitors experience today.

The South Sea Guanyin Cultural Garden holds Buddhist temples and statues that reflect spiritual traditions still observed here today. Walking through this section, you notice how pilgrims and visitors use the space for meditation and prayer.

The mountain has clearly marked walking paths with rest areas positioned regularly along the routes. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the climb varies in difficulty depending on which path you choose.

The Nine Dragon Rock formation displays rare geological patterns created by ancient volcanic activity with distinctive crystalline structures. These unusual stone formations are the result of natural forces that shaped the rock thousands of years ago.
