Built in 1995 on the northeastern promontory of Hainan Island, the lighthouse marks the southern entrance of the Qiongzhou Strait for maritime navigation.
The structure represents modern Chinese maritime engineering and stands as a symbol of navigational advancement in the Hainan province.
The lighthouse emits two white flashes every 15 seconds, with a focal plane of 88 meters and a light range extending 25 nautical miles.
This maritime beacon holds the distinction of being China's tallest lighthouse and ranks as the fifth highest lighthouse structure in the world.
