Evergreen Park, Public park in Longhua District, China
Evergreen Park is an 83-hectare green space in Longhua featuring an artificial lake, walking paths throughout, and roughly ten thousand trees including numerous coconut palms. Different zones within it provide areas for children's activities, plant displays, and rest areas.
This park opened in 1996 following a 1993 decision by the local municipal committee, with volunteers helping to reclaim land and plant trees. The project marked an important step in developing the area.
This space serves as a neighborhood gathering spot where people exercise, meet friends, and spend time with family throughout the day. Different sections provide activities suited to various age groups and interests.
The park is accessible by bus with multiple routes serving the area near the main entrance on Binhai Avenue. The flat walking paths throughout are easy to navigate for most visitors.
A small waterway links the park's lake to Haikou Bay and crosses under two pedestrian bridges offering views of the water and surroundings. This quiet connection to the bay is something many visitors miss.
