Haikou People's Park

The park extends over 300 acres with a central hill that rises above the city, creating multiple levels connected by winding pathways.

Founded in 1954, People's Park later received substantial improvements in the late 2000s with new pathways and recreational facilities added throughout the grounds.

Every morning, thousands of residents gather in designated areas to practice traditional activities such as tai chi, kung fu, and jianzi under tree canopies.

The park maintains several facilities including ping pong tables, exercise equipment, public restrooms, a convenience store, and a police station for visitor safety.

The park's elevated plateau provides views of the surrounding area while featuring concentrated flora that differs from the typically flat terrain of Haikou.
