Hainan Center, High-rise building in Guoxing Avenue, Haikou, China
Hainan Center is a tower block measuring 428 meters tall with 94 floors above ground in Haikou. The building combines office spaces in its lower sections with residential units and hotel accommodations distributed across the upper levels.
Construction started in September 2015 but faced a halt in 2018 due to financial difficulties. The project resumed under government supervision in late 2023, reflecting changes in Haikou's development priorities.
The building design by German architect Gunter Henn reflects modern architectural principles while contributing to the vertical development of Haikou's urban landscape.
The building features 51 elevators serving different sections for efficient movement. Ample parking spaces are available, making it accessible for those arriving by car.
The tower contains 356 residential apartments and 288 hotel rooms concentrated in the upper levels, blending residential and hospitality functions. This arrangement demonstrates how modern high-rises in China integrate multiple uses within a single structure.
