The HNA Building is a 31-story office tower in the central business district that rises approximately 138 meters above Haikou. Its contemporary glass facade and vertical form make it a defining presence in the downtown skyline.
The building was completed and opened in 2008, marking a key moment in Haikou's economic expansion. This period saw the city establishing itself as a modern business center with new investment and development.
The name Xin Haihang Dasha ties the tower to Hainan Airlines, whose headquarters it houses along with the now-defunct HNA Group. Its address, 7 Guoxing Avenue in Meilan District, places it at the west end of the avenue, with the Hainan provincial government building directly to its east. The earlier company headquarters on Haixiu Road, Haihang Fazhan Dasha, has since been demolished.
The tower is centrally located with good access to nearby restaurants, cafes, and other amenities in the business district. Modern elevator systems serve all floors, and parking options are available in the surrounding area.
The building was part of a wave of new towers that reshaped Haikou's skyline during the 2000s. It stands alongside other major office buildings that collectively transformed how the city looks from different vantage points.
