Haikou Volcanic Cluster Global Geopark

Haikou Volcanic Cluster Global Geopark is a protected area in Xiuying District that contains more than 40 volcanoes from the Quaternary period, including Mount Fengliung and Mount Baoziling. The terrain displays various volcanic features, including broad crater depressions formed when groundwater encountered hot lava.

The volcanic formations developed about ten thousand years ago and shaped the landscape of this region. Around one thousand years ago, local communities began using the volcanic stone from these areas as building material.
