The stone foundations and remaining walls of Deji Gate stand near Tianhou Gong temple, occupying 0.21 hectares of protected land in Quanzhou.

The Deji Gate served as a critical defensive structure during the Song and Yuan dynasties when Quanzhou operated as a principal maritime trading port.

This national heritage site represents traditional Chinese defensive architecture and provides evidence of urban planning methods from ancient imperial periods.

Visitors can reach the ruins by following the signs from central Quanzhou, with the site located at coordinates 24°53'50"N and 118°35'3"E.

The gate ruins maintain their original stone construction techniques, displaying the engineering capabilities of medieval Chinese builders in coastal fortifications.
