Anqing Yangtze River Railway Bridge

The Anqing Yangtze River Railway Bridge extends 2996 meters across the river, featuring a central span of 580 meters and reaching a height of 210 meters.

The construction of this massive infrastructure project began in January 2014 and concluded with an official inauguration ceremony on December 6, 2015.

The bridge represents a significant advancement in Chinese transportation infrastructure, connecting communities along both sides of the Yangtze River through rail service.

Four railway tracks traverse the bridge structure, with two dedicated to the Nanjing-Anqing Intercity Railway and two reserved for the future Lu'an-Anqing line.

This engineering achievement reduced the rail journey duration between Nanjing and Anqing from eight hours to merely ninety minutes upon completion.
