Baisui Palace, Buddhist temple in Qingyang County, China.

Baisui Palace is a Buddhist temple rising from Chaxiao Peak and features classical Chinese architecture with curved roofs and stone foundations. The structure spans multiple levels and preserves traditional building elements typical of religious sites in this region.

The temple was first built during the Ming Dynasty and later rebuilt in 1721 following fires that damaged the site. These reconstructions show how the structure was preserved through different periods of Chinese history.

The temple is part of a pilgrimage network on Mount Jiuhua where visitors come to learn Buddhist teachings and practice meditation. Its daily use by monks and pilgrims shows its ongoing spiritual role in the region.

The site is best explored by arriving early when it is less crowded and the light is better for viewing the architecture. Sturdy shoes are recommended since the paths lead up the mountain and stairs can be steep.

The temple houses the preserved remains of Master Haiyu, who founded the original structure and lived over a century. This mummified form is a rare preservation that underscores the age and spiritual importance of the place.
