The 364,000-square-meter park contains Yinchu Lake, Tiebi Hill, and multiple walking paths through landscaped gardens near East China Normal University.
The park opened on October 1, 1959, after construction began in April 1957, initially named Huxi Park before becoming Changfeng Park.
Local residents gather in the early morning hours to practice tai chi and participate in group exercises throughout the designated areas.
The park operates from 5:00 AM to 9:30 PM during summer months and 6:00 AM to 9:30 PM in winter, with entrance at 189 Daduhe Road.
Shanghai Changfeng Ocean World within the park displays 10,000 marine animals from 300 species in an aquarium located 13 meters under Yinchu Lake.
