Tsing Yi Estate, Public rental housing complex in Kwai Tsing District, Hong Kong.
Tsing Yi Estate is a public housing development with four residential towers of approximately 33 to 34 stories on Tsing Yi Island. The complex provides a total of 3,216 units for residents in the New Territories.
The estate was built in several phases between June 1986 and October 1989 as occupation permits were granted progressively. It was developed on reclaimed land near the former Tsing Yi Town.
The estate deviates from local naming conventions as the sole public housing development on Tsing Yi Island without the prefix Cheung in its designation.
The estate is about a 15-minute walk from the nearest MTR station and has good public transportation connections. It is located at 10 Fung Shue Wo Road, which helps with navigation to the complex.
The four residential towers have specific names: Yee Kui House, Yee Yip House, Yee Wai House, and Yee Yat House. These names follow a consistent naming pattern that distinguishes each building within the overall complex.
