Voyage to the Crystal Grotto

Voyage to the Crystal Grotto is a boat ride at Shanghai Disneyland Park where guests travel through waterways decorated with sculptures and fountains. The scenes depict dramatic moments from classic Disney animated films.

The attraction opened in June 2016 as one of the opening attractions at Shanghai Disneyland Park, marking Disney's first theme park in mainland China. This represented a major expansion for the company into the Asian market.

The ride displays characters from multiple Disney films like Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and Tangled through artistic installations. Visitors encounter these characters in atmospheric scenes that reference the original stories.

Children under seven years old need supervision from someone aged sixteen or above, and wheelchair users can transfer to the boats. The ride accommodates guests with different mobility needs and provides regular capacity for care.

The ride passes through an underground chamber beneath Enchanted Storybook Castle with synchronized light and water displays. This hidden route creates a sense of discovery as you travel underneath one of the park's most recognizable landmarks.
