Ocean Flower Island, Artificial island in Paipu, China

Ocean Flower Island is an artificial island off the north coast of Danzhou in Hainan Province, comprising three separate landmasses totaling about 381 hectares. The development features parks, hotels, shopping centers, and entertainment facilities distributed across these different areas.

In October 2010 Danzhou signed a reclamation framework agreement with Evergrande, and by August 2013 the company held all sea-use rights certificates. Land-use rights were acquired from 2015, when construction began, inspired by Dubai's Palm Islands. Trial operation started on 1 January 2021 after about twelve years of building.

The name Haihua means "sea flower": the central No. 1 islet is laid out in the outline of Hainan's provincial flower, the bougainvillea, while the two flanking residential islets take the shape of waves. The project was inspired by Dubai's Palm Islands, and in 2021 the complex was ranked first on a list of China's "Top 10 Ugliest Buildings".

The middle islet, No. 1, is laid out in the outline of the bougainvillea, Hainan's provincial flower, while the two flanking residential islets take the shape of breaking waves. The archipelago spans about 6.8 km and sits roughly 600 m off the coast between Paipu and Yangpu ports.
