Rheinturm, Television tower in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The Rheinturm is a concrete television tower at the entrance of the Media Harbor in Düsseldorf, reaching a height of 240.5 meters. It houses three observation levels that offer views over the city and the river.
Construction began in 1979 following designs by architect Harald Deilmann. The tower opened to visitors in December 1981.
The tower features a light sculpture clock on its facade, displaying the time through illuminated patterns that make it visible throughout the city.
The observation deck opens daily from 10 AM to midnight, and two elevators carry visitors to the platforms. The ride up takes about one minute.
The QOMO restaurant at 172.5 meters (565 feet) completes one full rotation every 72 minutes, giving diners a complete view during their meal. A light sculpture on the shaft displays the time through glowing patterns visible across much of the city.
