WDR Studio Düsseldorf

The WDR Studio stands 25 meters tall, featuring a curved glass entrance hall and a facade combining natural stone plates with glass elements framed by mint-green strips.

The broadcasting facility, constructed between 1986 and 1991 according to Christoph and Brigitte Parade's architectural plans, required an investment of 46 million euros.

The structure's eastern facade incorporates a large arched glass foyer that references the shape of a traditional radio receiver, connecting to the broadcasting heritage.

The building spans 6,000 square meters, with production studios located in the basement and office spaces distributed across the transparent upper levels.

A distinctive slanted cut on the main facade creates an angular profile toward the street, while suspended staircases in open spaces connect different floor levels.
