Pushkin garden, Tbilisi

Pushkin Garden is a green space in central Tbilisi with walking paths, benches, fountains, and a mix of local and imported plant varieties. The space is framed by six major streets and offers multiple entry points with direct access to nearby cafes and shops.

The garden occupies a historically significant location in Tbilisi's center and underwent major renovation in 2012. During construction work, crews uncovered remains of fortification walls and towers dating from the 12th and 13th centuries.

The garden serves as a gathering place where locals spend time together, sitting on benches or walking through planted areas. Residents use the space for everyday activities and informal meetings throughout the seasons.

The garden is easy to reach from multiple directions at a central intersection, making entry and exit straightforward. Comfortable footwear is recommended since paths vary, and the space can get crowded depending on the time of day.

Segments of medieval fortification structures remain visible beneath the modern garden, exposed during the recent renovation work. These archaeological finds reveal that the site has been a key defensive and urban location for hundreds of years.
